The problem

Fuel-tank monitoring is useful when operators can connect a physical device to the right depot, inspect its readings, and understand its history. A mobile application needs to make installation and daily monitoring coherent for people working around real equipment.

My role

My contribution is Flutter mobile application engineering: interfaces, application state, device workflows, and integration with the monitoring platform's API. This profile describes that application work, rather than claiming authorship of the physical sensor hardware.

The implementation

The repository implements QR scanning for device setup, installation screens, depot and group management, device search, level visualization, logs, alerts, and account workflows. GetX coordinates application state, an HTTP client connects to the cloud API, and connectivity handling communicates when the device cannot reach the service.

Important decisions

  • Connect device installation to an identifiable device and location.
  • Make level information and history accessible from the same operational context.
  • Keep depot, group, and client responsibilities visible in the interface.
  • Show disconnected states explicitly instead of presenting old readings as current certainty.

Live product

SpecGauge is listed on Google Play under Specdigital. The public portal provides another entry point to the monitoring platform. The released app establishes mobile delivery for a specialized operational product; this case study does not claim fuel savings, certified measurement accuracy, or hardware ownership.

This work connects to my wider software practice: clear mobile interfaces, reliable API integration, and workflows that join digital records to activities in the field.
